Hi R.C.,

Thanks for stopping by and asking your question.

There's really no need to buy much of anything - that's the point behind the content here that we're making on LOCAL Na8ion.

Set up your blog/web site and then start creating content about what you're doing. Get to know how people are searching for your type of product / service online and make sure to write content that appeals to them directly (relevancy). That's how you get started.

Some of the mechanics of getting started are here: Purchase web hosting for between $5 and $8 BlueHost is the top host recommended by Wordpress.org and costs $6.95 a month. Hosts like BlueHost and others allow what is called a one-click-install of Wordpress. You press a button on your host's control panel and presto you have a new web site/blog up without the need for you to become an expert in CMS setup and web hosting. From there you need to get to know Wordpress a little and you can be publishing your blog.

With a little knowledge like this you can get setup and running in one day.

From there, I recommend you continue reading sites like LOCAL Na8ion for more information and the many others that show you how to do things yourself with these online publishing and marketing tools.

Cheers

We offer a piece of free software that is really a desk top search engine that looks at all the blogs for a certain keyword of phrase. You enter your name and web site and keywords and PR Back Link will do the searching and present a list of blogs to pick from. You then load them in the viewer and enter a comment on the subject. If the comment is deemed worthy then the blog master will keep the comment and you will probably get some traffic to your web site and maybe a link to your page as well. I have used it several times and it works very well. Tht's how we found this blog. It is well worth the money. All you have to do is go to my web page to get it. http://www.makemoremoneysolutions.com/

I like the idea of having a blog along with my site to bring others there, should I buy tools to help me spread my news around or is there a better way to do this?

Hi Tony, thanks for stopping by. I used Movable Type myself when I first started blogging which was back in 2003. I liked Movable Type but in my opinion the size and quality of the open source development with Wordpress makes it the clear leader in blogging platforms. I am excited to see what you are doing with Crowdvine and good luck with your continued efforts!

Definitely agree about the wonders of Wordpress. I switched from MovableType a few months ago and have been very happy. The built in spam filtering is fantastic. We have a client who was a little overwhelmed with the admin interface, but Blogger has been perfect for her.
